Post Closing Balance Sheet

A post closing balance sheet generally refers to a balance sheet or related position statement prepared after closing entries have been completed for the accounting period. At this stage, temporary accounts such as revenue and expenses have already been transferred to retained earnings or capital. The result shows the final balances of permanent accounts carried into the next period.
