Work in Progress (WIP)

Work in progress refers to partially completed goods or projects that are still in the production or service delivery process at the reporting date. These items are not yet finished goods, but costs have already been incurred on them. Accurate WIP valuation is important because it affects inventory, job profitability, and cost recognition.
