Key Audit Matter (KAM)

A key audit matter is an issue that, in the auditor’s professional judgment, was one of the most significant matters in the audit of the financial statements. These matters are usually described in the audit report for greater transparency. They do not necessarily mean there is an error, but they highlight areas requiring special audit attention.
