FIFO (First In, First Out)

FIFO is an inventory valuation method where the oldest inventory items are assumed to be sold first. This means ending inventory consists of the most recently purchased items. In times of rising prices, FIFO often results in lower cost of goods sold and higher profits compared to some other methods.
