Insolvency

Insolvency is a financial condition where a person or business is unable to pay debts when they become due, or where liabilities exceed assets. It is a serious sign of financial distress and may lead to restructuring, liquidation, or legal proceedings. In accounting and finance, insolvency risk is closely monitored because it affects recoverability, going concern, and stakeholder confidence.
